what to expect
before your session
Once you've booked your session, you will receive a few different reminder emails from me, along with how to best prepare for your session and ways to style your family!
It's best to determine your family's outfits at least a couple of weeks before your session in case you need to shop and try things on!
As we get closer to your session date, we'll keep an eye on the weather and touch base if anything changes!
during your session
Yay! The day is finally here! Just remember - your family photos should be relaxed, not stressful! I promise to take good care of you!
I will get a few of the "posed" images for your mantle, but the magic happens when you're having fun! I will guide you into "poses" and where to look, but then I will give you some prompts to help the interactions be genuine and sweet and beautiful! Lots of snuggling and tickling and happy things!
after your session
It will take about 2 weeks to finish the edits on your images. Once they are done, I will email you a link to your online gallery for you to download your photos! I recommend to double back-up your photos to your computer and a cloud service, just to be safe!
You may print anywhere you'd like, or if you'd like the convenience of ordering them straight from your gallery, I've partnered with some fantastic print labs that will take really great care of you!
We can do your family session anywhere you'd like! Choose from your own home, or at a local park in town (within 20 miles of the Emory Road exit #112 on I-75). I have several favorites if you'd like some suggestions! :) If you are a little further away (even another city!), I'm happy to travel - please inquire about the travel fee for your particular location.

Welcome to East Tennessee, where the weather doesn't always cooperate! If it rains, I will reach out a few hours before to reschedule your session. If you need more notice, just let me know, and we can make the call the day before!
What if someone gets sick?
I totally understand! Let's reschedule. No big deal at all. I just ask that you let me know as soon as you can. :)
Do you offer extended family sessions?
Yes, absolutely! I'm a sucker for big families and all the grandkids piling on Papaw! Let me know if you'd like to do an extended family session, and we'll iron out all the details!
