what to expect
before your session
Once you've booked your session, you will receive a few different reminder emails from me, along with how to best prepare for your session and ways to style your family!
It's best to choose a date between about 32-36 weeks of your pregnancy to make sure you are showing! If you are feeling uncomfortable, then we can adjust your date as needed!
during your session
Yay! The day is finally here! Just remember - your maternity family photos should be relaxed, not stressful! I promise to take good care of you!
I will guide you into "poses" and where to look, but then I will give you some prompts to help the interactions be genuine and sweet and beautiful! Lots of sweet, happy moments!
after your session
It will take about 2 weeks to finish the edits on your images. I will email you a link to your online gallery to download your photos! Be sure to double-backup your photos, just to be safe!
You may print anywhere, but if you'd like, you can order them straight from your gallery through some of my favorite print labs!
We can do your maternity session anywhere you'd like! Choose from your own home, or at a local park in town (within 20 miles of the Emory Road exit #112 on I-75). I have several favorites if you'd like some suggestions! :) If you are a little further away (even another city!), I'm happy to travel - please inquire about the travel fee for your particular location.

Welcome to East Tennessee, where the weather doesn't always cooperate! If it rains, I will reach out a few hours before to reschedule your session. If you need more notice, just let me know, and we can make the call the day before!
What if someone gets sick?
I totally understand! Let's reschedule. No big deal at all. I just ask that you let me know as soon as you can. :)
Should I bring my family?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, I HOPE you bring your family! This is a sweet time for everyone!
what if my baby comes early??
then yay! you get to hold your baby sooner! and we can apply your maternity session fee toward a future session!
