what to expect
before your session
Once you've booked your session, you will receive a few different reminder emails from me, along with how to best prepare for your session and ways to style your family!
It's best to choose a date within about two weeks after your baby's due date (or induction/c-section date). We'll use this as a tentative date, but if we need to adjust, we absolutely can!
during your session
Yay! The day is finally here! Just remember - your newborn photos should be relaxed, not stressful! I promise to take good care of you!
I will guide you into "poses" and where to look, but then I will give you some prompts to help the interactions be genuine and sweet and beautiful! Lots of sweet, happy moments!
after your session
It will take about 2 weeks to finish the edits on your images. I will email you a link to your online gallery to download your photos! Be sure to double-backup your photos, just to be safe!
You may print anywhere, but if you'd like, you can order them straight from your gallery through some of my favorite print labs!
I offer newborn sessions in-home (within 25 miles of the Emory Road exit #112 on I-75). If you are a little further away (even another city!), I'm happy to travel - please inquire about travel fees. I try to use mostly natural light, so we'll find the prettiest pocket of light in your home!

No worries! If baby comes early, or late, or your recovery is harder than you expected...we can always reschedule!
Do you have a studio?
Not anymore. I have done both studio sessions and in-home sessions. And I absolutely, hands-down, prefer in-home sessions! They are so much more personal, and I love working with natural light!
Should I have outfits ready?
That's a tricky one. A lot of newborn outfits don't fit very well, and they end up looking a little awkward in photos. You are welcome to lay some out, and if we have time, I am happy to try some! However, I truly think you will love having baby in a simple wrap (I will bring some neutral ones), a simple fitted onesie, or just bare skin and a diaper. Seriously the sweetest!
