The process is exactly the same as if you were booking your session with me! I am building a team of hand-picked photographers that I feel match my shooting style very closely, and that I feel are fun and sweet to be around! You will book your session through me, and I will take care of all the preparation and communication ahead of time. I usually send out a few emails before your session, and will include your photographer's phone number so you can touch base and communicate about meeting up and any other specifics about the day.

Once the session is over, your photographer will deliver the images to me to complete the editing process - this ensures that your photos will match the style you have seen on my website and throughout my portfolio.

Your session can be done at any location within 20 miles of the Emory Road exit #112 on I-75. We are happy to come to your location, help you choose an outdoor location, or we can research rented venues if you'd prefer.

before your session
Once you've booked your session, you will receive a few different reminder emails from Karen, along with how to best prepare for your session and ways to style your family!
It's best to determine your family's outfits at least a couple of weeks before your session in case you need to shop and try things on!
As we get closer to your session date, we'll keep an eye on the weather and touch base if anything changes!
during your session
Yay! The day is finally here! Just remember - your family photos should be relaxed, not stressful! We promise to take good care of you!
Your photographer will get a few of the "posed" images for your mantle, but the magic happens when you're having fun! She will guide you into "poses" and where to look, but then she will give you some prompts to help the interactions be genuine and sweet and beautiful! Lots of snuggling and tickling and happy things!
after your session
Karen will be the one editing your images! It will take about 2 weeks to finish the edits on your images. Once they are done, Karen will email you a link to your online gallery for you to download your photos! We recommend to double back-up your photos to your computer and a cloud service, just to be safe!
You may print anywhere you'd like, or if you'd like the convenience of ordering them straight from your gallery, we've partnered with some fantastic print labs that will take really great care of you!

What if it rains?
Welcome to East Tennessee, where the weather doesn't always cooperate! If it rains, I will reach out a few hours before to reschedule your session. If you need more notice, just let me know, and we can make the call the day before!
What if someone gets sick?
I totally understand! Let's reschedule. No big deal at all. I just ask that you let me know as soon as you can. :)
Do you offer extended family sessions?
Yes, absolutely! We are suckers for big families and all the grandkids piling on Papaw! Let me know if you'd like to do an extended family session, and we'll iron out all the details!
